I can’t tell you how many of my friends are frustrated with their fitness level and what to do about it. Their comments range from, “My doctor told me I’ve got to start exercising,” to, “I want to look the way I did when I was younger,” to, “I’m tired of being overweight, stiff and tired all the time.” The problem isn’t that these successful, middle-aged businessmen and women don’t want to change. The problem is that they’re not sure how to change, given all the confusion about:
- Calorie-restricted crash diets
- Open-ended gym memberships
- Rapid weight loss supplements
- The latest, greatest exercise regimen
Joe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist — the same certification level required of any strength and conditioning coach, from high school to professional sports. As a result of his education and experience in the Chicago and New York markets, he had the skills I needed to:
- Accurately assess my fitness level
- Determine the safest and most effective fitness path for me
- Design and implement an efficient and effective individualized training program
- Personally guide me to my fitness goals

My first impression of this facility was that it was cleaner than any gym I had ever visited before, but the best thing about working out here is the amount of space you have. I never have to wait for equipment, the other members seem very nice and I don’t feel rushed, crowded, or intimidated like I do in other gyms.
The gym caters to people like me who like to come in and do our own thing, but I’ve been invited to join their group training programs which seem really popular and like a great option for people that enjoy working out with others. Even though I don’t have a trainer, I know the trainers are there to answer my questions if I need help.
The staff always smile and say hi when I walk in. They recognize me and ask how my day was. It’s little things like that which make all the difference here. Fitness 360 feels like ‘my gym.’

We joined Fitness 360 to take our workouts indoors during hot Austin summers. Two years later, we’re still here! We love taking part in the group offerings because the gym keeps them small so you get a lot of personalized attention from the trainers. Usually there are no more than five people to a group. The group training appointments also keep us regular, and the trainers are great at changing up the workouts to hold our interest and keep it challenging. They seem to put a lot of thought into the workouts and are genuinely invested in our success. I’ve lost 10% body fat over the last year with the help of group training. Joe has lost 12% body fat and gotten a lot stronger. As for the rest of the gym? It’s clean, spacious, and the equipment is all brand new and works really well. I’ll use the cardio machines when I’m not here for group training, but I’m really all about the classes at Fitness 360.
